Pride, No Prejudice

Elizabeth Bennet scene at Stanage Edge

Capturing the spirit of the rugged Derbyshire landscape & Jane Austen's, Lizzy Bennet.

How the piece came about

You might notice the colours are a little different to my usual palette in this piece. This is because I wanted to capture the era of when the book was written as well as the true, rugged and windswept landscape, typical of our rocky moorlands. Lizzy was a woman ahead of her time. Free-thinking, refused to be constrained by society and would judge people on what she saw, not what she'd been told.
