Family Walk

Commissioned Piece

I love working on personal commissions for people and this was a particular favourite. Jon told me some of the favourite places his family like to go walking and I began to sketch some ideas.

How the piece came about

When Jon asked me to create a personal piece, we began by listing some of his favourite places to go walking with his family. Stanage Edge really meant a lot to them and the famous old grindstones along the walk seemed the ideal spot to build the picture around. I wanted to capture the family day out.
